Meribel is a charming ski chalet resort beloved of the British with top quality skiing, excellent ski chalets and apartments, and plenty of apres ski activities including bars, many with live music, a good variety of restaurants, olympic swimming pool, ice rink and cinema.
Méribel is suitable for skiers of all abilities, and is an ideal destination for snowboarders with snowparks.and plenty of chair lifts and cable cars rather than drags. Skiiers can choose between the local Meribel/Mottaret lift pass or the larger Three Valleys pass for those wishing to explore the whole fantastic ski area. Complete beginners can choose the "Magic Pass" which allows you to practise on the nursery area without having to pay for a full ski pass.
Meribel has an excellent snow record throughout the whole season, making it a highly popular ski destination.

Motteret is a bustling ski village in a superb, sunny position in the centre of the vast Three Valleys ski area. Situated 3 kms up the valley from Meribel centre, Mottaret is a favourite with those who know the area, with excellent and easy access to the whole three valleys ski area, sunny slopes, and cheaper lunch spots.
Motteret is built in a village style with its own shops, restaurants, cinema and a lively, but lower key nightlife than Meribel. Weekly free welcome drinks (hot chocolate and vin chaud) and torch lit descents by the French Ski School are held in Mottaret adding to the lively and friendly ambience. Accommodation is mainly ski in ski out wooden chalet style buildings which are nestled on the slopes just above the village centre. A favourite ski destination with many, Mottaret is an excellent option for families, dedicated skiers and those on a budget
